In the realm of interior design, the kitchen is often the heart of the home. One of the most popular choices for kitchen countertops is granite, renowned for its durability, beauty, and vast array of colors. But did you know that the color of your granite countertop can also influence the energy flow in your kitchen according to the ancient science of Vastu Shastra? Let's delve into the fascinating world of kitchen top granite colors as per Vastu.
Understanding Vastu and Granite Colors
Vastu Shastra is an ancient Indian architectural science that harmonizes the built environment with nature and cosmic energies. It believes that the right use of colors can balance the five elements - Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether - and create a positive, auspicious atmosphere. When it comes to granite countertops, the color you choose can significantly impact the energy flow in your kitchen.
North and Northeast: The Zone of Knowledge and Wealth
The north and northeast directions are governed by the elements of Air and Ether. According to Vastu, these zones are associated with knowledge, wealth, and wisdom. To enhance these energies, consider granite countertops in shades of white, cream, or light gray. These colors represent purity, clarity, and tranquility, fostering a peaceful and productive environment.
- Recommended granite colors: White Macaubas, Cream Marfil, or Light Gray Granite
East and Southeast: The Zones of Health and Prosperity
The east and southeast directions are ruled by the element of Water. These zones are connected to health, prosperity, and growth. To activate these energies, opt for granite countertops in shades of blue, green, or light brown. These colors symbolize harmony, balance, and abundance, promoting good health and prosperity.
- Recommended granite colors: Blue Pearl, Emerald Green, or Light Brown Granite
South and Southwest: The Zones of Power and Passion
The south and southwest directions are dominated by the element of Fire. These zones are associated with power, passion, and motivation. To stimulate these energies, choose granite countertops in shades of red, orange, or dark brown. These colors represent energy, enthusiasm, and courage, igniting the fire within you.
- Recommended granite colors: Red Dragon, Orange Aura, or Dark Brown Granite
West and Northwest: The Zones of Creativity and Love
The west and northwest directions are governed by the element of Earth. These zones are connected to creativity, love, and relationships. To nurture these energies, select granite countertops in shades of yellow, beige, or black. These colors symbolize stability, warmth, and grounding, fostering a creative and loving atmosphere.
