If water fails to enter the sink, check the supply lines for blockages or kinks, especially near the sink’s under-mounted shut-off valve. Clogs often stem from food particles, soap scum, or mineral buildup—use a plunger or drain snake to clear minor obstructions. For persistent leaks at the base, inspect the connection points for wear; replacing O-rings or tightening connections may resolve the issue. If water drains slowly or backs up, the P-trap or drain line might be blocked—flushing with hot water or using enzymatic cleaners can restore flow. In cases of cracked pipes or faulty valves, a plumber’s expertise is essential to prevent further complications.
