Thank you for choosing LiveTrack HK ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your data is handled transparently. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and protected when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect and How We Use It

LiveTrack HK is designed to be a privacy-first application. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information (PII) to our servers.

• Location Data: The App requests access to your device's location (both in the foreground and background, if you enable background tracking). We use your precise location solely to show you nearby public transport stops on the interactive map and provide accurate Estimated Times of Arrival (ETAs). Your location data is processed locally on your device. It is never stored on our servers, tracked over time, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
• Local Device Storage: When you "favourite" a route or station, or adjust your app settings, this data is saved locally on your device. We do not have access to this data.

2. Third-Party Services and APIs

To provide real-time ETAs and route information, the App communicates directly with public open data APIs, including but not limited to data.gov.hk and MTR Open Data. When the App requests ETA data, your IP address is exposed to these service providers as part of standard internet protocol. These requests are anonymous and do not contain any of your personal information or exact GPS coordinates.

3. Analytics and Tracking

We do not use any third-party tracking or analytics software. What you do in the App stays on your device.

4. Data Retention

Because we do not collect your personal data on our servers, there is no data for us to retain or delete. All your preferences and favourite routes are stored locally on your device and will be permanently deleted if you uninstall the App.
