This page explains how to request deletion of your MetalScout account and related data.
How to request deletion
Send an email to support@teredo.tech from the email address associated with your MetalScout account with the subject: Delete MetalScout account.
Include the information below so we can verify your identity and process the request:
- Registered email address (mandatory)
- Full name and phone number (optional, helps verification)
- Any pending rewards or scheduled pickups (if applicable)
- Whether you also want a data export before deletion (optional)

What will be deleted
- Account and profile data (name, email, phone, company, scrap yard address, avatar).
- Bank account number stored for reward payouts.
- Your submitted parts, photos, descriptions and metadata.
- Authentication tokens and app sessions.
What may be retained
- Records required by law (e.g., tax/accounting and anti‑fraud records related to rewards and payouts) for the period required by applicable law.
- Backups and audit logs for a limited time until they are cycled out according to our operational retention schedules.
- Aggregated/anonymous analytics that do not identify you.
Important notes
- If you have pending rewards or scheduled pickups, these may be cancelled as part of deletion.
- Deletion is irreversible. To use MetalScout again, you will need to create a new account.
- If you request a data export, we will provide it before completing deletion.
