Students can design, draw and colour in their very own treasure map. There is an island outline, grid coordinates, key area and a mini island as well. Students can hide treasure on the island and write directions for a parent to find the treasure or items on their map. They can include their own key to the bottom of the map. They can add in mermaids and mermen, sea creatures like octopus and sharks, a pirate ship, paths, trees, sand, bridges, rocks, caves etc. Once the maps have been coloured and completed, it makes for great classroom posters/displays.This resource has been created for A4 paper size but could be scaled up to A3 to make treasure maps for displays or to support students who need it at a larger size.
