Ignore Text Wrap Indesign

With the Type Tool, create a text frame and type a title or any text. Move the text frame above the image that has a Text Wrap applied. With text frame selected, go to Object > Text Frame options and check the Ignore Text Frame box in the bottom left-hand corner of the dialog box.

Start up your Indesign but do not open any document or new document, just click on the text box in the toolbar and press Ctrl+Alt+W (Text wrap), a text wrap dialog box will appear on that set to none (no text wrap). On the InDesign Text Wrap panel, make sure the No Text Wrap button is activated. Make sure you tell InDesign to ignore Text Wrap and also set it as your preference.

If you cant get the text to wrap around an image, make sure that Ignore Text Wrap isnt selected for the text frame that doesnt wrap. Also, if Text Wrap Only Affects Text Beneath is selected in Composition preferences, make sure that the text frame is beneath the wrap object. With your text box selected go to the menu bar and go to Object>Text Frame Options and then check the box that says ignore text wrap at the bottom

The headline text will momentarily be pushed out of its frame by the text wrap on the graphic; select the headline text frame, open the Object > Text Frame Options dialog box, and click Ignore Text Wrap.
