What Is A Good Golf Handicap
I am curious as to what handicap is considered a good handicap, as I have heard 10 handicappers call themselves duffers or hackers, so Im just interested in people's opinions as to where that line is that a golfer becomes "good" in your eyes. Thanks. It appears one of the primary goals of Cap Patrol is to give cover to the Handicap Committee if they take action against an alleged sand bagger.
The Committee can use the Cap Patrol recommendation for support of any handicap adjustment. If a Handicap Committee is doing their job, a sand bagger is fairly quickly noted. How would you define a "good" golfer? What is your definition of an average golfer? What do you define as a high handicapper, mid handicapper, and low handicapper? How many people do you think just guess on their handicap? In other words, in general terms, how do you rate the level of play of the...
I'm wondering if their are any PGA players that started late (earliest 18 years old) and what was their handicap they achieved in 1 year of playing golf. Ive heard that breaking 90 in a year is really good. Hello All: I am having trouble believing I am an 11 handicap.

I'm a 5.9 handicap and the last 5-6 rounds have been great. (Excluding the last 2) I shot 79-78-76-79-79 and I almost thought I was immune to bad rounds. THEN! Two days in a row I shoot 88-88.
Thats 9 shots over what I consider a reasonably good score. I'm just wondering what is the worst score y... Just wondering if any scratch players have any input? When I was around 15 years old, I took my handicap from 12 to 6 and I have been hovering around that mark ever since.
I have been as low as a 4 (albeit briefly) and as high as a 9, but generally I play to a 6 or 7. No matter how much or how li... The slope is the same, and so a change in "x" (the handicap index) should result in the same difference in course handicap (the y axis) because the slope of the line is constant.
Another way to think of it: add the course's par to the course handicap.
