It's a simple MS Word document with two custom formats - ACTION and DIALOGUE. The dialogue in the script is formatted using the "DIALOGUE" format, shockingly enough. Everything else is formatted using "ACTION." I wrote up some thoughts and examples of other formatting things I do in the body of the template.
