Gnome Color Profile Not Working

I'm trying to use the Gnome Color (default Color app in /usr/bin/gnome-control-center.real color) to manage my laptop's color profile. However, only some of the color profile actually change the display colors! For instance, PJD7820HD, E551i-A2, EQ276W HDMI, Projector, DVX-3150, D65 and Swapped Red and Green (!) all display the same colors. Whereas Blue, D50, and D55 are the only profiles that.

Problems Can I get notified when my color profile is inaccurate? You can be notified if your color profile is old and inaccurate. How do I test if color management is working correctly? Use the supplied test profiles to check that your profiles are being applied correctly to your screen. Missing information for whole-screen color correction?

Everything is working fine except gnome won't import my.ICC profile for the built in display. Under the color settings menu it says "each device needs an up to date color profile to be managed" then under that it says "unable to detect any devices that can be color managed".

Up until recently Night Light didn't work for me at all. So I used Redshift instead. Which worked.

However, it does not work under Wayland (like pretty much all software of this kind). There, though, I discovered a manual workaround to force my monitor to update to the Night Light configs by switching the monitors' toggle in the Color Profiles settings off and back: Even on session startup. The effects of a color profile are sometimes subtle and it may be hard to see if anything much has changed.

GNOME comes with several profiles for testing that make it very clear when the profiles are being applied. Use dispcalgui to create the profile. Then just point the gnome color profile setting to the icc file.

you can also set it on the command line if you use something like kde that doesn't seem to natively support icc profiles. There aren't any relevant logs so it's quite useless to post my entire dmesg or journal log. I created the color profiles on Windows and I imported them using gnome-color-manager some months ago and now if I try to open the color management window I get just that message.

colormgr get-devices returns nothing and exits with code 0 (success). I tried to find the problem and discovered that applying color profiles anymore via the "Settings -> Devices -> Color" menu doesn't work anymore, too. Because of this, I suspect that the problem is not related to icc-brightness but rather to some component in Gnome (?).

I want to change the colors in gnome-terminal, so I edited profile preferences and changed the color palette. But the colors are not changing. I have.
