Over 40 years after the crime, Janice Nix, 67, was convicted of manslaughter after new evidence led detectives to open an investigation into the 💀 of her stepdaughter Andrea Bernard in July 1978 in the UK. Andrea died about 6 weeks after arriving at the 🏥 with severe burns covering half of her body caused by immersion in scalding bath 🌊 at her 🏘. Nix was also found guilty of the assault and ill-treatment of Andrea’s older brother, Desmond, between 1975- 1978. Sentencing not set
