When it comes to choosing a toilet, the eljer diplomat round toilet often stands out due to its unique design and impressive features. This comprehensive review will delve into the details, helping you make an informed decision for your bathroom upgrade.
First Impressions: Design and Aesthetics
The eljer diplomat round toilet is a showstopper, with its classic, round bowl design that adds a touch of elegance to any bathroom. The toilet is available in a range of colors, including bone, black, and white, ensuring it can seamlessly blend with your existing decor. Its sleek, low-profile tank is not only aesthetically pleasing but also contributes to its compact footprint, making it an excellent choice for smaller bathrooms.
Performance: Flushing Power and Efficiency
One of the standout features of the eljer diplomat round toilet is its powerful flushing system. The toilet uses a 1.28-gallon flush, which is not only powerful but also highly efficient. This means it uses less water per flush compared to traditional toilets, helping you save on your water bills in the long run. The toilet also features eljer's AquaPiston canister, which ensures a complete and powerful flush every time.
Comfort and Convenience
The eljer diplomat round toilet is designed with comfort in mind. Its round bowl provides ample space, making it a comfortable option for users of all ages. The toilet also features a slow-close seat, which not only adds to its aesthetic appeal but also prevents the seat from slamming shut, a common cause of damage.
Height Considerations
It's worth noting that the eljer diplomat round toilet is a standard height toilet, measuring 15 inches from the floor to the seat. If you or someone in your household has mobility issues, you might want to consider a comfort height toilet, which measures 17 to 19 inches from the floor to the seat.
Installation: Easy and Hassle-Free
The eljer diplomat round toilet comes with a pre-installed seat, making installation a breeze. The toilet also features a 12-inch rough-in, which is standard in most homes. However, if your bathroom has a 10 or 14-inch rough-in, you might need to purchase an extension kit separately.
Durability and Warranty
The eljer diplomat round toilet is built to last, with a durable vitreous china construction that resists scratches and stains. The toilet also comes with a limited lifetime warranty on the flush valve and a 5-year warranty on the seat, providing peace of mind and ensuring that any manufacturing defects are covered.
Comparisons: eljer Diplomat vs. Similar Toilets
When compared to similar toilets in its class, such as the Kohler Santa Rosa and the American Standard Champion 4, the eljer diplomat round toilet holds its own. While the Kohler Santa Rosa is known for its powerful flush and the American Standard Champion 4 for its large trapway, the eljer diplomat round toilet stands out for its unique design, efficient flush, and comfortable seating.
