Nestled in the heart of Foxboro, Massachusetts, New England Pottery has been a beloved local institution for over four decades. This family-owned business has carved a niche for itself in the region, not just as a pottery studio, but as a community hub where creativity, art, and learning converge.
About New England Pottery
Founded in 1978 by the late Bob and Joan Giguere, New England Pottery began as a small studio offering pottery classes. Today, under the stewardship of their daughter, Lisa Giguere, the studio has grown into a vibrant space that caters to both beginners and experienced potters alike. The studio's mission remains unchanged: to provide a creative space where people of all ages and skill levels can explore their artistic potential.
What Makes New England Pottery Unique?
New England Pottery stands out for several reasons. Firstly, it's one of the few studios in the region that offers a comprehensive range of classes, from wheel throwing to hand building, glazing, and even Raku firing. Secondly, the studio's commitment to community is evident in its outreach programs, which include workshops for schools, senior centers, and non-profit organizations.
Moreover, New England Pottery is not just about pottery. It's a community where artists share ideas, learn from each other, and collaborate. The studio hosts regular exhibitions, workshops with visiting artists, and even a annual sale where potters can sell their work.
Classes and Workshops
New England Pottery offers a variety of classes and workshops to suit different needs and schedules. These include:
- Six-week sessions for beginners and intermediate potters.
