Black bear marks up a tree.
When a bear feels the need to relieve an itch or scratch, it seeks out a suitable tree that meets its requirements. The tree should have a sturdy trunk, preferably with rough bark or prominent bark textures. This allows the bear to effectively rub against the tree and achieve the desired relief.
