We use 100% locally grown environmental friendly sisal with high quality fibres.. Woven from sisal (perennial succulent) extracting the fibre is a sincere labour of love. The fibre is then dried, brushed and dyed with natural food products.

It takes few days or up to a week to finish a basket depending with the size and complexity of the design. The Kalahari carry bags are woven with a softer texture and thin leather handles. While the Kalahari bags are also high quality, the handles are thinner and so may not ware as well over time in comparison to the tote and market basket.
