Queen's Park boasts a wide range of facilities many of which are free to the public. These include: The Glasshouses The Glasshouses were built in 1905 and are situated near the Battlefield Monument/Langside Road entrances. The iconic dome has been temporarily removed for restoration, and the only area currently accessible to the public are the toilets, together with the well.

A wide range of restaurants, shops and public bars can be found within walking distance if you can drag yourself away from Queen's Park. You can find these toilets in the building next to the café, facing the play park. Public toilets in Blakers Park, Greenleas, Easthill Park, Hove Cemetery South, Queen's Park, Stanmer Village and Vale Park are now open.

This brings the total number of public toilets open to 31. These sites are currently open from 9am to 4pm, but we will extend opening hours into the evening as staffing levels increase. Baby changing facilities are available and there is a disabled toilet.

Last year, difficulties in recruiting staff and budget pressures and repairs saw 10 public toilets which usually remain open close over winter. We're keeping most of our public toilets open throughout winter. This includes Stanmer Village and Queens Park which were closed over winter last year.

Winter opening hours for public toilets across the city began 1 October. Most of the city's public toilets will open from 8am to 4pm, except for some of our busier sites.
