Parameter Units
Dimensionless is used for CAD parameters , or for values that do not have a unit type . For more information, see Type Settings.
Creating or Editing Parameters
To add or edit the parameter description, in the Properties pane, click the Description Value cell and type the new description. Once you have finished adding and editing parameters , update the project, system, or Parameters cell to register the changes and return the values of the output parameters .

Parameters are used for objects, documents and projects to add detailed information to the design . A component is shown in the above image. Parameters are added or automatically included as properties of the parent object and are not placed independently like a text string. The types of available parameters can be broadly grouped as system and user parameters , where the latter is manually ...
From the Wiki help on units in parameters : To build a compound unit specification, such as in/sec, separate the individual units with the appropriate sign of operation, such as multiplication, division, or exponentiation. So for square feet you would enter ft*ft, which shows up in the parameter as "ft^2". I haven't tested this with real parts, but give it a shot.
I was so excited to notice that in the parameters dialog that I can now click on the units for a parameter and change the value . I often forget to change the count of something to have "no units ". I just created a new design , opened parameters and added - x_unit 50mm - y_unit 50mm - x_units 1 - y_...

Moving forward, it's essential to keep these visual contexts in mind when discussing Design Parameter Type Values Unit.
D1.K.1.2 Design Parameters
The program contains a large number of parameter names which are required to perform design and code checks. These parameter names, with their default values , are listed in the following table.
The target unit is the presumptive unit to which all entered values in this parameter field will be converted. See Unit System for more details. Default Value : Use this property to define the default value that will appear in the parameter field when a new component is created.

Design DB Parameters
Design parameters allow any component with an SPREF to use values from the design element which refers to it (via the SPREF). For example, the DES PARAM 4 of a Component is the fourth value in the Design Parameter Array of the design element.
The design code developers first decide how USGS earthquake hazard information should be applied in design practice. Then, the USGS calculates values of seismic design parameters based on USGS hazard values and in accordance with design code procedures. U.S. Seismic Design Maps Web Services
