Responsible CCUS Development Area Resource 1
Stewardship → Responsible CCUS development embodies a commitment to environmental stewardship and social equity throughout the entire lifecycle of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage projects. This stewardship involves minimizing ecological impacts, ensuring public safety, and fostering transparent engagement with local communities.

Furthermore, visual representations like the one above help us fully grasp the concept of Responsible Ccus Development Area Resource 1.
Utilization focus area Under the broader CCUS RD&D call, this focus area aims to support the research, development , and demonstration (RD&D) of CO 2 utilization technologies that have the potential to significantly and meaningfully reduce the costs, as well as the energy and carbon intensity, of CO 2 conversion and utilization into viable products and commodities for long-term or permanent ...
Toward this, the paper is organized as follows: Section 2 provides an overview of existing CCUS projects, to provide a basic understanding of development trends; Section 3 explores possible deployment pathways of CCUS to achieve the carbon-neutral goal and layout optimization based on geological storage potential estimates and source-sink ...
Energy Innovation Program

As part of Budget 2021, the government is investing $319 million over seven years into research, development , and demonstrations to advance the commercial viability of CCUS technologies. These funds will support businesses, academia, non-profits, government, and federal laboratories on the path to net-zero emissions by 2050.
Carbon capture, utilization and storage ( CCUS ) is a crucial enabler for the energy transition. It helps industrial companies - and entire regions - decarbonize, while maintaining and creating jobs. OGCI is working with industry, governments and other investors to scale up CCUS , in particular through the development of CCUS hubs.
Fig. 4 provides a global map of CCUS projects in development and operation as of 2024, illustrating regional clusters and international hubs. CCUS development is increasingly concentrated in industrial regions with access to storage-ready geology, supportive policy environments, and high-emitting industries.

As we can see from the illustration, Responsible Ccus Development Area Resource 1 has many fascinating aspects to explore.
