The bike will cost 2.7 million Yen (US$27,000) in Japan and you d have to pay 2.82 million Yen if you opt for ABS.

BMW recently won the race in the 1200 category with its demonic HP2 Megamoto. The 2009 BMW HP2 Megamoto and all other motorcycles made 1894. BMW is making a limited edition version of the HP2 Megamoto that was raced at last year's Pikes Peak hill climb event.
Unfortunatly, the Pikes Peak edition HP2 Megamoto will only be available in the Japanese market, and while a considered a "replica" of the Megamoto which BMW Motorrad / BMW USA Sierra raced at the Pikes Peak, it will mimic the race bike in form only. Read: the replica. Nevertheless, BMW Motorrad is sending the new HP model to the traditional mountain race Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado.
Five BMW factory riders took to the start line in 2007 atop the new HP2 Megamoto and put it through its paces. 21 kilometres of mountain roads, 156 bends, up to a height of 4,300 metres.
