Welcome to Loci support. Loci is a map exploration game — walk through the real world, light up every hexagonal cell you visit, and paint the map with photos taken on location.
Q: Why doesn't the map light up as I walk?
Make sure location permission is granted ("Always" gives the best experience) and Exploration tracking is on in the Me tab.
Q: Does Loci share my location with other people?
No. Your location is never shown to other users. Our servers only store which cells (~66m hexagons) you visited — never your precise coordinates or route. Others only see photos you deliberately publish.
Q: How do photos work?
Photos can only be taken with the in-app camera, at the place itself. Your photo fills that hexagon on the shared map. Anyone at the cell can repaint it; the cell keeps an album of all photos.
Q: How do I report or hide content?
Open a cell's album and long-press any photo → Report. You'll stop seeing it immediately; you can also block that user. Photos reported by multiple users are hidden for everyone pending review within 24 hours.
Q: How do I delete my photo or my account?
Your own photos: long-press or swipe in the album → Delete. Your account: Me tab → Delete Account — this removes all your data.
Q: How do I change the app language?
Me → Language. Loci supports English and Simplified Chinese.
