I recently picked up an old wood ladder from Hope Gospel Mission Bargain Center in Eau Claire, Wi for around $8.00. Upon purchasing the ladder, I wasnt sure exactly what I would be using for, but knew that it would serve me for different purposes, including home design.
To improve upon the design I saw on Pinterest and to make this my own, I cut an old heartpine shutter into a five-inch wide strip and cut it to length to be a shelf behind the ladder sections. After it was sanded, I attached it to the ladder using biscuits.
