From the West Overlook, you can see the Cumberland Mountains to the north and west, the Ridge and Valley Province, Knoxville, and Sharp's Ridge to the west and south, and the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains to the south and east. Only 30 minutes from downtown Knoxville, overlooks from the 2,100-foot crest of House Mountain scan the parallel ranges of the Unakas and Cumberlands some 30 miles away.
