One of the defining features of contemporary dance is its emphasis on individuality and self-expression. Unlike classical ballet or other structured dance forms, contemporary dance allows for a greater degree of personal interpretation and freedom. Dancers are encouraged to explore their own movement vocabulary and experiment with different techniques, resulting in a wide range of styles and artistic expressions.
