I agree - where's the love for the XR? I picked up a new Triple Black today to replace an R1250 GSA that was destroyed when I got rear ended. I couldn't be more excited about the bike and would love a more active XR forum. There's a UK forum that is reasonably active but it is (obviously) UK centric.

I recently sold my 2016 Honda CRF 1000 L and am now looking for a bike with a 16-17K€ budget (French resident). I watch many (too many?) videos of the S1000 XR and I find this bike really appealing.

The Aprilia has some things about it that I love, it's SO light compared to the XR, it feels like it's 1/2 the weight (combo of being quite a bit lighter and much lower to the ground), it turns and carves with less effort than the XR, it feels more "playful" than "battleship". But man alive is the XR amazing machine.

The Aprilia has some things about it that I love, it's SO light compared to the XR, it feels like it's 1/2 the weight (combo of being quite a bit lighter and much lower to the ground), it turns and carves with less effort than the XR, it feels more "playful" than "battleship". But man alive is the XR amazing machine.

At a solid 65, I smacked into this 3-4" high imperfection at 45-degrees of lean and at full pucker. To my relief, the XR just absorbed it with nary a wiggle to evidence the near mishap. The handling, much like the motor, provides additional evidence of the XR's superbike pedigree. Review Continued Here (Part 2).
