How do these two generations of 5-Series differ from each other? Engines, chassis, and more compared. I have the same F10, except RWD and ~84K miles, and a 2019 G30 540i. The F10, to me, is a bit sportier, but the G30 does enjoy being thrown around.
The interior aesthetics of the G30 are nicer, but after almost 3 years I'm still a little put-off by the "add-on" infotainment screen. I can get a F10 for about £15,000-£17,000 and a G30 for £21,000-£22,000 with similar mileage. Is the G30 worth the extra money for my use case? I imagine it'll hold it's value better but is there a significant improvement in comfort, road noise, economy etc?
The F10 cabin and layout, with the integrated screen, black panel clarity of the instrument cluster, is just so much more 'BMW' than the G30 to me.
