Thanks for the write up! What i have found while changing differential oil on both of my vehicles (X5 35D and E60 525xi) that oil came out from rear differentials was not showing any signs of wear on both of my vehicles whereas oil from front differentials was totally black on both cars.I think its because of engine heat and i believe one should change front diff oil much sooner than the rear.
