Given there's not much more to "fix" in the iDrive 8.0 they'll likely do it as needed so this is possible to be an iDrive 8.5 only OTA. Software definitely gets tweaks here and there. If I go to a dealer now, they'll update me on the latest 11/2024 version.

Received & installed OTA 11/2024.74 update overnight and took short drive this morning. -- I don't program overnight charging slots because my local electric company doesn't offer reduce rates.

Not sure if I've seen this mentioned anywhere else, but on iDrive 8.5 the 11/2024.30 firmware changes a lot of UI (more than just the climate control change I saw mentioned elsewhere). Do tell!

Our iX40 downloaded 11/2024.30 on the way to the dealer this morning for its scheduled service. Whilst at the dealer - I noticed that the downloaded software has now been installed (received a message on my iPhone about this) Car will be returned to us tomorrow - so will be interesting to see if we notice anything new with this update!

When I got in my 03/2024-build i4 this morning, I got a notification that a remote software upgrade to 11/2024.65 was available. I'll have to have the update applied tonight but I have been on 03/2024 since delivery. Has anyone else gotten 11/2024 over the air? I had scheduled an appointment.

Whilst at the dealer - I noticed that the downloaded software has now been installed (received a message on my iPhone about this) Car will be returned to us tomorrow - so will be interesting to see if we notice anything new with this update!

A "fix" (11/2024.28) was down loaded which remedied the problem although the jury is still out on the time slot charging issue. I was advised this was new software that just came out 11/12/24.
