Chicago Burlington and Quincy Logo Incorporated under the laws of the state of Illinois, the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad Company (CB & Q), commonly known as the Burlington Route, initially operated a line between western Chicago and Burlington, Iowa. The system eventually grew to serve the states of Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Wyoming, New Mexico, and Texas. Its primary connections included Chicago, Minneapolis–Saint Paul, Saint Louis, Kansas City and Denver.
