BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Born circa 1839, Ohio native David Ramsey was living in Dayton, Wright County, Minnesota, when he enlisted with Union forces on August 5, 1862. He was assigned to the Sixth Minnesota Infantry Regiment's Company B, remaining so until he was discharged on August 19, 1865, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. In 1887, he received an invalid pension from the federal government for Civil War service. According to the 1890 veterans census, he was living in Dublin Township West, Mercer County, Ohio.
