Expand/CollapseHISTORICAL NOTE

Future NowFuture Now: A Training Collective, was a worker-owned cooperative established in 1984 to strengthen movements and organizations working on progressive and liberal issues through training and consultation. Clientele included social change and advocacy organizations, including those for battered women, food cooperatives, back-to-the-land communities, nonprofits serving Hmong and Lao immigrants, environment, peace and justice, and disability rights. Many of the client organizations were faith-based. Principals included Betsy Raasch-Gilman, Will Pipkin, and Erika Thorne. By 2002 most activities had ceased, although an online presence existed until 2006.
