Lloyd MacLaggen MacAloon was born August 24, 1899 in Wisconsin to John and Mildred MacAloon. By 1918 he was superintendent of munitions for the Minneapolis Steel Machinery Co. He became a leader in the field of labor relations, working with the Citizens Alliance during the 1920s and 1930s. He established Lloyd M. MacAloon and Associates, a labor management consulting firm, in Minneapolis about 1932 and continued operating it until his death in Edina, Minnesota on August 29, 1980. He married Flora Carolyn Meeker (1900-1985). They had two children: Jack Robert MacAloon (1918-1997) and Betty Jane (MacAloon) Stuart (1919-2000).
