John F. Raynolds III John Fiske Raynolds III was born September 25, 1929 in Minneapolis. He served as a Navy diver during the Korean War, and as a CIA operative stationed in Ghana in the 1960s. He later worked as an investment banker, and was the CEO of Outward Bound USA from 1981-1991. His father, John F. Raynolds (1887-1941), was an air service mechanic during World War I. Raynolds' grandfather, John F. Raynolds (1817-1889), had a dry goods business in Canton, Ohio and later worked in the milling industry. Raynolds' first marriage resulted in three children: William Raynolds, Virginia Raynolds Stark, and Helen Raynolds Griffith. He married Eileen Blaker in Connecticut on May 24, 1998. Raynolds died on November 11, 2011 in Vero Beach, Florida.
