Expand/CollapseHISTORICAL NOTE

Hamm's Beer AdvertisementThe Theodore Hamm Brewing Company was established in Saint Paul in 1856 by German Immigrant Theodore Hamm. The brewery was located in the Swede Hollow area of Saint Paul. Additional breweries were later opened in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Baltimore, and Houston. The company was sold to Heublein in 1965, which in turn was acquired by Olympia Brewing Company in 1975. Olympia was purchased by Pabst in 1983, and at that time the Hamm's brewery was traded to Stroh Brewing Company. Stroh operated the brewery until 1997, when it was closed. Miller Brewing acquired the brand in 2006. MillerCoors owned the brand and brewed Hamm's beer in 2015.
