HISTORICAL NOTE
The Links, Inc. is a
national organization made up of professional women of color. The Minneapolis-St.
Paul Chapter of the Links was established on December 10, 1972, by Marion Jones
Kennon and Phyllis Hannah Ellis. Their mission is to work cooperatively on youth and
community matters by partnering with social and community service agencies, civic
organizations, and corporations. The chapter's signature programs and activities
include the Debutante Cotillion, the Young Women's Issues Forum, and youth
scholarships.
