John R. Corbid was born February 11, 1945. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in social science from the University of North Dakota. He taught social studies in the Oklee High School. He was elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives on November 5, 1974, from House District 1B representing Marshall, Pennington, Polk, and Red Lake counties as a Democratic-Farmer-Labor member. He was re-elected in 1978 and 1980, serving until January 5, 1981.
