BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Manfred Oskar Anderson and Esther V. (nee Louholm) Anderson emigrated from Sweden in 1920 and 1917, respectively. They were married June 25, 1923 and had four sons: Melvin, Gerald, Floyd and Waldo.

Melvin Carl Anderson and Vivian Clarice Peterson were married June 18, 1949. They had three sons: Brian, Wayne and Grant. Melvin worked as an accountant for the Ford Motor Company and for Metro Transit, operator of the Twin Cities' mass transit system. He was the treasurer of the Men's Gardening Club of Minneapolis in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Hannah (nee Berglund) Peterson was Vivian Anderson's mother, and was born in Sweden.

Sigrid Anderson, Manfred's sister, and Selfred Swanson were married circa 1920. Selfrid worked for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad as a car foreman until taking disability leave in 1960, which led to his retirement in 1961. Sigrid and Selfred were also born in Sweden.

Mats Oscarsson was a relative from Sweden who visited and wrote the family often.
