The Alliance of Early Childhood Professionals is a non-profit organization incorporated by Minnesota child care workers in 1979 as the Child Care Workers Alliance. The name was changed to Alliance of Early Childhood Professionals in 1994. Initially centered in Minneapolis, the organization later adopted a statewide focus.
