Humphrey office memoranda, as well as memoranda from the military services, regarding procedures for nomination and selection of Congress members' authorized appointees to the military academies; lists (not complete) of applications made to the Humphrey office, and of his appointees and alternates; information on scheduling and procedures for annual Congressional examinations for candidates; a few letters that reflect the information the Humphrey office sent to prospective applicants; copies of application forms and regulations; some correspondence with entrants and graduates; and a sampling of application files, consisting of the first three files in the original alphabetical sequence for each year, 1950-1963. Also present is some correspondence regarding the 1951 dismissal of 90 West Point cadets for cheating on examinations.
