SCOPE AND CONTENTS
A variety of files that add to or integrate with larger series. A separate set of case files was kept for each year (or, in some instances, each two-year period); files for each year are subdivided by subject, then arranged alphabetically by the surname of the constituent. There are especially large numbers of cases concerning employment, all branches of the military, social security, and veterans. Other categories include education, post office, prisons, railroad retirement, taxes, and welfare.
In addition to the main body of files kept by Humphrey's Washington office, a series of case files apparently kept by his Minneapolis office is also included. The Minneapolis files, which date from 1974 through 1978, are grouped together following the Washington files.
