Expand/CollapseSCOPE AND CONTENTS

Includes some case work and local political relations, as well as informational materials concerning Minnesota institutions and activities of general interest to the Humphrey office. Some of the correspondence is that of other members of the Minneapolis office staff, rather than Gates himself. Files for 1972-1974 include subject files; those for 1975-1977 consist wholly of alphabetical correspondence files.

Included as well are campaign background files (1976), appearance files, interview transcripts, an album of photographs from a Humphrey visit to Vietnam (1966), and Humphrey's certificate of election as Senate majority whip (1961).
