Include official issuances of Humphrey's offices, usually entitled "Statement of (Senator, Vice President) Hubert Humphrey"; letters in which Humphrey makes a reply to a letter request for a statement either from an individual or a group; statements by Humphrey promoting books authored by others; and messages (especially "of greeting" usually to groups (e.g. conventions at which Humphrey could not appear) or over radio or television. Often the letter requesting the statement or message is attached to Humphrey's reply. There are no statements for 1950 and 1953-1967.
