Dana Jackson was hired as associate director of the Land Stewardship Project in 1994 and served in that capacity until 2007, when she shifted to senior associate coordinating the St. Croix Valley Buy Fresh Local campaign. Jackson was a co-founder of The Land Institute in Salina, Kansas. Prior to joining the Land Stewardship Project she was senior program associate at the Minnesota Food Association and coordinator of the national Biotechnology Working Group. She served on the board of directors of the Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture and the Sustainable Resource Center. Jackson was succeeded as the Project's associate director by Mark Schultz, who served in that role until 2016 when he became executive director of the entire organization.
