Expand/CollapseHISTORICAL NOTE

The Metro (Headquarters) Office was initially located in Saint Paul, and then for many years was at White Bear Lake. For a time it was located in a farmhouse at Wilder Forest, near Marine-on-St. Croix. It eventually moved to South Minneapolis. In addition to concerning itself with Twin Cities-Area activities, including urban sprawl and the preservation of metropolitan area family farms, it provided oversight to the Lewiston and Montevideo field offices and to the Policy Office. The executive director, the associate director, and certain other staff worked out of the Metro (Headquarters) Office.
