BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Stanley Robert Maxeiner, son of John R. and Clara (Stanley) Maxeiner, was born June 17, 1885, in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1909 having completed premedical and medical school. He joined the surgical practice of Dr. Robert E. Farr. In 1917 Dr. Maxeiner joined the medical corps attached to the British Expeditionary Forces and served in France until 1919. He joined the faculty of the University of Minnesota in 1930 and was active in the Hennepin County Medical Society, the Minnesota State Medical Association, and numerous state and national surgical organizations. He married Madeline Teas Wood in 1922 in Billings, Montana. Maxeiner died March 2, 1988, in Hennepin County, Minnesota.
