BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Sally Olsen graduated from Metropolitan State University (B.A.) and received a law degree from Hamline University. She served on the St. Louis Park School Board for nine years and was an officer of the League of Women Voters of St. Louis Park and Minnesota.
Olsen was elected to the Minnesota Legislature in 1978 (Independent Republican) as a representative from district 44A, serving St. Louis Park, a Minneapolis suburb. In the legislature she served on the Education; Commerce; Economic Development; Financial Institutions and Insurance; Local Government and Metropolitan Affairs; and Taxes committees. In addition she served on the Legislative Audit Committee and was co-chair of the Hennepin County House Delegation.
She is married and the mother of three children.
