VETERAN FIREMEN'S ASSOCIATION OF ST. PAUL:

Although origins of the group are somewhat unclear, the Veteran Firemen's Association began as a group of retired members of the St. Paul Fire Department Relief Association who met annually to elect trustees. In 1912, the group decided to form the Veteran Firemen's Association as a permanent organization. Activities of the group included sending delegates to the State Firemen's Convention, advocating for members in matters relating to pensions, and planning dances and other social events.
