| Abstract: | Records of the Kandiyohi County Group Homes, established in 1975 and licensed by the State of Minnesota Department of Human Services to operate one home for boys and one for girls, ages 12-17, who are emotionally troubled, have behavioral problems, and are in need of protective services. The teen are either adjudicated delinquents or voluntary placements. The program includes daily goal work, one-to-one counseling, school, community involvement, family meetings, and home visits. Located in Willmar, the group homes serve 38 counties, mainly located in the southwestern and middle sections of the state. | |
