Adoption records less than 100 years old are available with a court order, pursuant to Minn. Stat. 259.61, 259.83, and 259.89. Adoption records more than 100 years old are public pursuant to Laws 1997 c177 s22. Researchers may apply to use these records in accordance with the State Archives access statement.
