The photographs include aerial views of the campus; staff groups (with employee name
and position identified), staff recognition ceremonies, and employee band; resident
activities, including basketball, softball, music class, handicraft class, and a
beauty contest; and the main building and power plant, farm buildings, warehouse and
paint shop, cottage living quarters, dining rooms, kitchens, library, and laundry.
Residents' identities have been concealed in all photographs.
The films show educational and recreational therapy activities, a summer parade and
carnival, and the effects of a program aimed at teaching residents how to eat and
dress. The architectural drawings (bluelines, paper) of various hospital buildings
include the cottages for men and women, day camp and recreational building,
dormitory, kitchen, dining, and study areas.
