Drawings, blueprints and plans, circa 1932-1958. 6 folders.
Approximately 150 Paper, linen, and blueprints; most are 40 inches x 28 inches. Done mainly by the U.S. Department of the Interior/National Park Service in cooperation with the City of St. Paul Water Department or the Minnesota Conservation Commission/State Parks Division. Lake Vadnais Park was also known as the St. Paul Water and Forest Preserve. The drawings are of the Lake Vadnais area, including Sucker Lake, Twin Lake and West Arm. Along with general development plans, there are drawings depicting proposed and built roadways, trails, parking lots, signs, picnic shelters, latrines, toilets, and athletic fields. Also, proposed buildings’ elevations and floor plans; topographical surveys and maps; cross-sections; plans for grading, sloping, seeding, planting, and removing and planting trees.
