DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Expand/CollapseINDEXES TO CASE FILES (MICROFILM SAM 317 (PART)

Each entry lists case number (in effect, the letter designation of the register of actions book and its page number), names of plaintiff and defendant, kind of action, date and amount of judgment, citation to fee book number and page, citation to register of actions volume (letter and page), and date the judgment was satisfied. Although columns exist for all of these elements, many are not filled in consistently.

Arranged in 5 series, each comprising a plaintiffs’ index and a defendants’ index for a span of years. Index entries are alphabetical by first letter of surname, and roughly chronological thereunder. These volumes were numbered sequentially by the court administrator for microfilming purposes. The original letter or number identifications noted were found on interior pages or were deduced from internal evidence.
